It looks so good! Your changes are good ones. I don't think you necessarily need a pie crust and a topping (it was yummy, though). You're making me wish I'd frozen some cranberries while they were in season, the combination sounds amazing.

I love the substitution of cranberries- and I agree with the idea of less sugar. I put in 1/4 cup less on my second try, and I liked that amount, but my brother still preferred it even less sweet. He still ate half the pie though.

Thanks for baking along with me this week! Your cobbler looks terrific and I have no doubt it was still delicious without the pie crust. Brilliant idea to use cranberries in place of the rhubarb - I don't think I've ever had that combination before but it sounds great! Glad the cobbler was a hit :)
